Hello, I’m a mother of 6 years old daughter. Yesterday she developed flu-like symptoms. I didn’t give her any medication. As I had only aspirin at that moment sure I didn’t give it to her because know for rey’s syndrome. What medication can be given to a child for flu?
Well it is usually not necessary to common flu or cold to be treated with medications. Here are names of some drugs for flu; they are effective if given within 1-2 days of developing symptoms. Symetrel is effective against virusinfluenza type a, and can be used in children over age of one. Flumadine is used to prevent it and is also effective against influenza a. Tamiflu is effective aginst both a and b types and there is also relenza but recommended to be used in children under the age of 7.
