childhood abnormal penis/testicle

I have 13 year old son. I think it is too early for him to be in the puberty. Anyway my husband told me that he talked with him and that he thinks that the size of his penis and testicles is abnormal for his age. I would like to know are males genital begun to develop in the childhood or he has some disorder. I am afraid to take him to see a doctor because he is very sensitive about this. He had a hard time even telling this to his father.

I remember my childhood. I remember that first testicles started to grow and then penis. It wasn’t at the same time and it was sign that puberty started. I looked ridicules. Anyway it is possible in that period that because of the hormone stimulation that some abnormalities occur. I don’t think that he is too young. Puberty may begin in boys already in 12 years of age.
