Hi. I have chlamydia and I am on a med treatment. I used to change my sex partners a lot, but now I have 2 years relationship with one guy. Can we have sex while on treatment? What about chlamydia in monogamous relationships?

Hi. Chlamydia is treateble, but you should avoid sex during treatment. Monogamous (mutually monogamous) relationship with a tested and uninfected partner is the best way to avoid any STI, including chlamydia. You can reduce the risk of infecting your partner by using latex condoms every time you have sex. A friend of mine was diagnosed with chlamydia and we practice sex with condoms.
