Hi, my kid is 14 years old and he has chronic mild chest pain for some time already. I took him to the doctor but he couldn't find anything and he told me that sometimes children in those ages have similar pain where the cause is unknown. I would like to know something more about it.
Hi, I guess that your doctor checked some other things before he made such conclusion. However there are cases of chest pain which don’t have particular cause and appears in teenagers. It is called precordial catch syndrome and it has sudden onset and it disappear very soon. It repeats from time to time so it makes it chronically. These episodes frequency will decrease by time. Pin in this case is not so mild. Other reason may be reflux from stomach which may cause pain if esophagus is damaged.
