| I am a 41-year-old doctor at the local hospital and I have a question regarding chronic myopathy. Even though I thought I know everything there is to know on this subject, still there are some uncertainties left. Has chronic myopathy reported to emerge in deficiency of carnitin palmityltransferase (CPT in short, disorder of metabolism of muscle lipids). Anyhow, I would like to know if there were some researches on this subject and what are their conclusions? |

| Researches are always performed my dear colleague, with more or less success. You do know that medicine is an ever-expanding science, what has been in dark today, might be quite common and known thing tomorrow. There were some recent researches on the topic you are interested, I think a father and his son, both suffering from CTP, were examined, but, as I recall, results were inconclusive. |
