What are the probabilites of chronic osteomylitis from a dental bridge that contains a steel post? Within 10 years .I've had 2 bridges, root canals, appecectomies and surgical procedures to remove inflammation at the jaw bone line. I was only told these were caused by a chronic abcess but the abcess occurs where their is no tooth, no root system. What diagnostic tests could be performed to rule out chronic osteo?
