If your sister is 22 weeks along, pink discharge (blood in vaginal fluid) can be one of a few things. She has lost her mucus plug and is going into labor. Or, she is beginning to miscarry. She needs to lay down and be still immediately!
Lastly, it could be something as simple as she had sex and burst a capillary in her vagina. Not a big deal at all. BUT, the only way to know is to be checked out.
If it is one of the first two, she needs to get to the doctor or E.R. ASAP! If she is beginning to miscarry, they may be able to stop it. Or, if she is going into labor, they can keep her Pregnant as long as possible so the baby has a better chance of survival. But either way, she needs to be seen by her OB/GYN or the Hospital, immediately. |
