clonazepm and symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia

I have to take clonazepm 1mg twice a day because of very painful trigeminal neuralgia. I think that I have developed a kind of progress since have started with it, but nothing significant. I’ve been on it for last 5 days. Doctor still has not ordered me for how long am I going to take clonazepm. How long does it usually take for clonazepm to relieve symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia?

Clonazepam exposes its full benefits within first week of therapy. So, you can expect relieving in next few days. This drug should not be taken for more than a month as I know because of withdrawal. My sister was on clonazepam for three weeks because of the same problem as you have. It helped, but she has to take it regularly once or twice a year for two weeks.
