I found out I had Chlamydia about 3 weeks ago, I took 4 pills all at once, I think it was Zithromax. My Doctor said to wait 3 days before having sex, also gave me enough pills for my BF. I took the 4 pills and then I had sex that night, when my BF had not been treated yet. I called my Doctor the next day and he said that I would still be clean, but to give my BF the pills immediately. I still have discharge, normal but a little more than usual and I pee every 15 minutes and sometimes it burns. I have diarrhea and it has been constant for a few days, I get pains in my stomach one side or the other and I think that’s about it. Very worried and afraid I am going to be infertile. ???

Calm down, please. Do not have sex with the boyfriend, wait for a month. I had Chlamydia back in 2004 and took a dose of meds then, but six months later, I still had it. It is very persistent. I took yet another dose and a few months later, tested negative, but I am going to the doctor today and get checked again. Once you've had it, you have to deal with the repercussions. By the way, I don't mean to alarm you, but I've slogged through a couple of medical papers available on the internet and apparently, there are new strains of Chlamydia which can stay "hidden" inside the body. All the antibiotics do is suppress it, but not necessarily cure it.
