This kind of procedure has become popular in the last few years since it has been linked to few complications.
This process doesn’t require general anesthesia. It uses bipolar probe and it creates radiofrequency electrical current. It produces flow of sodium ions that have so much energy to break the surrounding tissue causing it to dissolve at low temperatures.
That way, the targeted tissue is removed and the surrounding tissue is left undamaged.
It should go well, it almost always does! Good luck!

My son just had coblation tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and they used and general anesthesia. The technique is quicker and does not burn healthy tissue they way old methods did. It took less than 30 minutes and the first few days of recovery were easy enough. He ate the usual cold/soft food but also craved cheeseburgers. We are into day 5 now and the pain is worse than at first. He is healing quickly and is sloughing off the scabs and spitting some blood. Salt water gargles help as do very cold ice water. He's eating more sherbet and cold things now as this feels better and also the cold helps with the bleeding. Coblation is still a week off of school if not more and the pain is still a big deal. I think it makes the actual surgery safer which is very important but remember, pieces of your body were still removed and there will be pain and blood.
