cold temperature after surgery

I’ll be taking my husband from hospital tomorrow. I already have got directions what he can or can’t do after surgery. I was wonder is it safe for him to be outside on a fresh air for a while during the day, although it is cold temperature. I don’t want him to catch a cold.

I think that he should be avoiding extreme hot or cold temperature and windy weather, as well as exercise, constipation, lifting over 20 pounds, and heavy meals. In fist couple of weeks after surgery he should be resting as much as it is possible but he can walk 10-15 min a day. Again I am not a doctor but avoid cold or hot temperature.
