From my unprofessional point of you, it sounds absurd as I don’t think that anybody enjoys this procedure. Even though there are guys who get erected when their anus is being touched or penetrated I don’t think that this situation would be the appropriate one. Maybe, what you heard is just a rumor or maybe it is me who is not well acquainted with the procedure and the affect it has on men. But I think this is false information. It would be good if somebody could prove me wrong!

| I get hard very, very easily, and I did not get an erection during my colonscopy. For me, if I know someone might see my penis, it can trigger it. Writing this is also giving me one. But during a colonscopy, they give you relaxers and after they start, they put you in what they call 'twilight', which I still don't understand. Supposedly you are awake and can respond to them, but there is absolutely no memory of it. So, since I don't remember, maybe I did pop one up. You do have a gown on and they only open up the back so it's not just hanging out there for everyone to see. It's very very wierd, that you can't remember any part after they start. The nurse asked if the medication was kicking in and I thiink she was messing with me cause that's the absolute last thing I remember until it was all over. I was very worried but it was nothing. |

| I had a colonscopy today. When I woke up I was flat on my back with a very hard erection that was obviously tenting the gown. There were two nurses in the room that must have noticed. This is significant because I have erectile dysfunction and use edex injections to get a maintainable erection. I suspect the cause was the anesthesia. Perhaps it relaxed the right muscles to cause this. From the time I first awoke til it subsided was probably 5 - 10 minutes. As I became more fully awake, it subsided. |
