Hi, I am very worried about my mother. She has severe pains in her back. They seem unbearable. She is on pain killers. Doctors have agreed that she has to go to complete lower lumbar back fusion. I do not know anything about this operation. I have heard just that they will put some parts in her spine. Is it true?

I am not a doctor or any kind of medical expert, but I know a woman who had the complete lower lumbar back fusion. She lives next door to me. She is 54 years old and she had the surgery two years ago. As I know she has some screws, cages and rods in her back. But the pint is that she is feeling much better after a surgery. Of course the therapy is needed after the procedure.
