Hi I have a 10 year that needs a tonsilectomy b/c of recurrent strep infec. I am somewhat concerned about any possible complications. I have a daughterr who had her tonsils taken out at 4 and we ended up in the CCU for about 48 hrs and then down the hall to a private room for 10 days. I gruess one of her lungs partially collapsed and she aspirated and delvelope aspirated pneumonia. I was very scarred. She was verry sick. Do you think this is a one time thing and her brother shouldn't have any problems?
