My son is 18 and has uc he is in the hospital and doctors are trying to figure out what medicine would be better for him. He has been on steriods by Iv and oral since june 2007 when they cut him back he has problems.He has also been on ennama's with steriods 2400 mg a day of assacol, protonics he was in the hospital 3 times since june 2007 with flare ups and has lost like 35 lbs since june. He presently has an infection now from the side affects of steriods. What i have now been told they are thinking about putting him on remacade just want to have someone help me understand this a little bit and what this drugs side affects are and what it might be able to help my son with his uc Thank you[/u][/list]
