No silly, Depo Provera! The injection! They are not pills. Its effective 24 hours after the shot. As long as you keep up with your schedule of getting a shot every 3 months, you should be fine. No need to use a condom for birth control. However, Depo Provera obviously does not protect you against STD's, so if in doubt about your partner, then use a condom as you normally would.
