congenital heart disease and excessive belching

My Dad has congenital heart disease and is on oxygen. Lately, he has been loudly belching about every 10 minutes or whenever he moves. He's 89 and for the past two weeks has not been able to walk very far without losing his breath. The belching has gotten worse - very loud! Is this because of his heart? Some days he eats very little.

My mother keeps saying it's indegestion, but I think it's lack of oxygen.
