Hi, I really need an answer from someone who had connective tissue disease. For a few years I had different problems. I had many digestive problems, muscular pains, allergies, sleep disturbances etc. Since my aunt had connective tissue disease I went to run the test called ANA. Test was positive. Can you tell me what cause this?

It is not so simple answering your question. It is, first, because of fact that connective tissue disease represents part of larger group of disorders known as autoimmune disorders. Your body mistakes healthy cells for intruders. It cause that your immune system attack your own body. Doctors do not know what trigger connective tissue disease and they think that it is combination of viruses, chemicals and genetic factors.
