constant Vaginal itch and swelling

I m 25 yrs old and i m suffering with constant vaginal itching and swelling.the swelling occurs around the vaginal hole at the end of the lips frequently whether i had intercourse or not .And it itch very much and some time bleeds if i scratch,Please tell me what it is .It happens frequently almost 4 days in a week .

I just had a biopsy for the same type of itching, but I get it around the vuvla. THe biopsy was to confirm a skin condition called liches sclerosis. THe skin thins which causes itching and when scratched easily bleeds or forms a cut. Woman can get it around the vulva or anus. If the skin appears to be turning white or loosing its redish/pink color, you probably have this condition if you don't have any other symptoms. It can be controlled with a topical cream. You may do some reserach on that to see if the diagnosis fits and then ask your doctor about it.

hi I am 18 and I have had and itchy vagina for a few months now at first my doctor said it was a yeast infection but the pill she game me didn't work so I took midol 7 day and that didn't work i am on minocyclin constantly which is an antibiotic for acne, I have had unprotected sex but i have been checked for STD's my doctor gave me a hemroid cream to put on my vagina but the itchyness is just getting so much worse i dont know what this could be.the Itching is all around the out side of my vagina and where my pubs are and its starting to get really swollen and sore from itching so much.

Might be worthwhile asking your doctor about Timodine. I had a similar itch and it cured it although there is a possibility it will return in which case I will again use Timodine. Got to be worth a try - if it doesn't work at least it will not cause any harm.
