Hi,
Over the past four months I've had this constant feeling of panic. I am not a paniccy person but recently I've started getting a constant fear of everything,it's almost fear of having another panic attack. I've been having what I hope are panic attacks over the past number of months. It mostly happens in the night time. I'm writing this having just had a sensation of my heart stopping for around four seconds then recommencing quickly and heavily. I've started to fear death over the last while and have turned to drink as a solution. Everytime I feel like I'm going to have ""an attack" I have an odd compultion to squeeze my neck.

Can anybody help? I'm only 24 and I need some!

you said this started four months ago... Do you remember anything significant moment that might have happened prior to these panic attacks. Do you have nightmares often? Are these fears justified i.e if you werent under these panic attacks would you consider the stuff you fear worth fearing? also you said "an attack" what kind of attack? heart attack? someone is about to kill you kind of attack? If you provide more detail i might try and suggest something useful...

Go to your medical doctor. They can offer you help either in the form of finding you conseling or give you medication to help ease the anxiety attacks (if that is what is going on with you).
I suffered an onset of anxiety attacks after I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. My doctor prescribed an anti-depressent and I have not had them since.
