constant fever and swelling

I have a constant fever, practically 24 hrs a day for the last 8 months. i also get headaches from time to time. Now i am significantly overweight, but i am seeing what seems to be swelling on my stomach, just above my belly button area, a round section. When i press it, i get no pain at all. Do you think that maybe i am just putting on more weight? Please tell me what you think about the fever.
