constant pelvic pain -

I have been having serious constant pelvic pain for the past year or so. I just tolerated it but I have not seen a physician about it. Could this be associated with hysterectomy (I still have my ovaries)I had 8 years ago due to scar tissue or could this be colon related? The pain has gotten a lot worse> I have just recently started taking pain medication for this which is not of much help. I am scheduled to see my GYN doc in a month.
