PostPosted: 03/17/08 - 15:30    Post subject: This helped me with my mid cycle bleeding Vote now! Reply with quote

I'm 31 and have been suffering from mild spotting mid cycle to large blood clots since I was 16. It was always around the time I should be ovulating about 7 days after my period. After running or having sex it was always worse. I found no help from my friends or OBGYM.

About a year ago I decided to start researching on my own and found plenty of people suffering from similar symptoms. One theme that kept coming up was the access amount of estrogen we consume daily because it is in everything! All plastics create a sythetic like estrogen in your body and everything made in a box with some kind of soy protein has it that means cereal, wheat thins, chips, all the noodles that come in a box, etc. I understand the need for birthcontrol pills but that is just another estrogen you are putting in your body. Try condoms for a while or the pull out method if your guy can handle it. If he loves you he will. After experimenting with your body you can see if your body can handle estrogen from the pill or not.

The first thing I started doing was change my diet. I have also stopped drinking sodas only tea and fresh squeezed juices. Stopped eating anything that comes from a box, only eat eggs from free range, organic hens, RAW milk, if you can find it. If you can't find raw milk STOP drinking milk period and try carrot juice instead for your calcium, you can get it at any juice place, make sure it is fresh squeezed. Yogurt is fine but try to get the ones without sugar or high frutctose corn syrup. Keifer is the best or a greek yogurt would be good. One of the most important things that I think has helped the most is Black Strap Molasses.

Go to Whole Foods or a health food store and buy Black Strap Molasses (must be blackstrap) organic if possible. Then take 2 tablespoons everyday. morning or evening or both. However you can,I put mine in my yogurt in the morning, in my coffe or in hot chocolate . It is completely natural and loaded with vitamins and minerals. I've ready many articles on women curing themselves of uterine fibroids with this product alone. Most of the peole I've seen on this post are young and the doctors don't look for fibroids when your young.

I believe my problem was something like a fibroid from what I've read of other peoples symptoms. I've been taking the blackstrap for about 3 months and have had no spotting at all. I plan on continuing to take it for the rest of my life, because apparently my body was missing something this gives. Good luck and I hope and pray this works for you too.

I go through the same thing. I didnt think there were this many women who has the same problem as me. I would bleed for months until i went to the doc. He prescribed me a birth control pill called Femcon it really works and regulates your period. If you dont take them everyday like you suppose to you wont see a period. My problem was i wouldnt see a period for months at a time, than I wouldnt have a period for months at a time. Im only 22 and me and my boyfriend is trying to have a baby and I really dont see that happening because of my irregular periods. The doc says I have to get my period regular if i want to have any kids, but birth control stops me from having kids. What should i do?

I too have bee bleeding for 3 months, with one week of Not bleeding, Doc gave me birth control pills which did not work. He then ordered a vaginal ultrasound to see what is going on.Well my internal ultrasound showed I have multiple fibroids the size of marbles. Doctor has to do a D&C to scrape away the tissues and of course test them. I will also have an Endometrial Ablation which will put my periods back to normal to not having periods at all. Good Luck!

I have been bleeding for 3 months also, sometimes to the point of hemmorraging with clots. When I got my vaginal ultrasound I clotted right through. They found fibroids. Doctor is doing a D&C and Endometrial Ablation to help. Good luck to all.

Last time it lasted 6 months. I go about 2 to three days tops with no bleeding I am really afraid too. My biggest problem is I have no insurance and no money. The public Health Department has a 3 month wait for Women's Health. My husband and I both work we just can't afford health insurance. I just don't think I can hold out much longer the fatigue is becoming a problem. Any suggestions?

Dear Guest,
Don't wait too long to see a doctor even iff you have to go to the er. That's what I did. I waited 3 months when I decided to go. I neede a blood transfusion because my hemoglobin count was at a critical level. I did not know I was anemic.

i've been bleeding for about 3 months now, this is the second time i've had this problem.las year i went to docs after several months of bleeding.i was told i have cervical erosion they took several smear test swabs and after 3 month all the results came back clear but i was still bleeding.so the docs decided to freeze my cervix.after that i bleed for a few weeks then just my usual periods.thought it was all sorted ..then i started to bleed again and it seems worse now than befor,i'm getting alot of pain and feel so tired all the time ..i've been docs again and they took more swabs and said my cervix is very swollen and bruised, but could not tell me why.. so i'm back in hospital again in may,for more scans xrays tests.. but they have warned me that this could be a life long problem with no fix..

Might as well add me to the list. I'm a 26 year old female. I'd first started birth control in November of 2006 when my husband and I got married. I went to my gyno in February for my annual/pap and everything was fine, except my blood pressure was a little high and she didn't feel safe reissuing my birth control. She gave me the option of an IUD, which I have scheduled though I don't know how my problems since then are going to affect it.

Shortly after my annual appt (the pap came back clear) I was late getting my period by about 8 days. Eventually I got it, though I haven't stopped bleeding since. I'm horrified by some of the stories here, as my bleeding isn't extreme, though I do pass clots on occassion. It's not as heavy as a regular period, but it's still consistent enough that my husband and I haven't had sex since February.

I went to my primary doctor who did a pelvic exam and recommended I see my gyno again as the bleeding may be cause by a lack of the hormones that my body has been used to for the past year and a half. She's put me on a birth control without estrogen, and advised that I take a multivitamin with iron every day to curb anemia.

As it is, I have my gyno appt on the 26th and will definitely stop back in here and give you ladies some kind of an update.

I am 26 years old and I have also been bleeding for about 3 months now. My symptoms are very similar to you all. Very dark in color and sometimes a deep red. I took the depo prevera shot back in November and since then I had constant bleeding. Just got off the phone from a 24 hrnurse-line and she recommended that I see a doctor within the next 18 hrs. Very worrying...
