| Hi- I am also 30 years old and 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. I have been experiencing brown spotting along with occasional small long and stringy clots. I have had no cramping. I also have had NO pregnancy symptoms...not even tender breasts. My OB tested my hCG and Progesterone levels and the hCG came back at the levels that it should be, however my progesterone was a little below what he said he would like to see. I will be going in on Monday to be retested. Is this normal? Is is it normal to be spotting AND have NO pregnancy symptoms? I miscarried 4 months ago so I am frantic that it will happen again. Please let me know what you all think. Thanks! |

| Hi again. I had the same thing and finally went to see my doctor again. It turned out that I had an infection that was irritating my cervix. I am now 12 weeks and it was a relief to tell people who had experienced the same problems. Hope everything is fine for all. |

I'm 32 and 6 weeks pregnant. I've also been spotting brown stuff on and off for a week now. I went to my doctor a week ago when it first happened and had all the bloodwork and got an ultrasound. Everything seems fine, but I don't feel very reassured. I wish the spotting would stop.
To anyone further along than me that has had a similar experience: How long did you spot before it stopped? I feel so tired of being worried. |

| Hello, I'm 33 yrs old. I'm about 7 wks pregnant with my second child. I started spotting on Thursday. Friday it was heavier and brownish color so I called my OB/GYN and she send me to the hospital. The took blood, checked my cervic and did a sonogram. Everything looked good so they sent me home basically on bedrest, which sucks. Tuesday, still bleeding and cramping pretty heavy, blood is bright red now, passing a few clots. So I went to the hospital again, they did the same thing. Baby looks good, in the right place, strong heartbeat. Its Thursday now, still bleeding, cramping etc. I feel like I'm going to miscarry. I'm to the point now that if its going to happen, I want it to happen soon. I can't stand the bleeding and the pain anymore. My period isn't this long. I can't even use tampons. I hate wearing pads : ( If anyone had been through this, I would greatly appreciate words of wisdom. |

I have been haveing very light (not enough to fill a pad in one day even) very bown discharge. I was soo scared last night I went to the hospital. I have what you call 2 uterus. One fully formed the other not formed. Is there inone out there who has this problem experience this prolem. I do experience cramps but they are best discribed as gas cramps I get from eating dairy. Lactose intolerant cramping. I am also very consitaped and am afraid to push to try and go because of the brown dischage. This is my second pregancy. I did not go through with my first one as I was not ready (16). I also made an appointment to se my GP today.
PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!! |

Hello, I am 12 weeks along and 33. I had a miscarriage in early September. This will be my first baby also. I had red bleeding for some time. Now I am having brown bleeding on an off. Same as you, as soon as I start to relax, then I start bleeding again. I am trying to take comfort that it is brown blood "old" blood. I have a dr's appointment on Monday and I cant wait to make sure everything is okay. I completely know how you feel. I just pray everything is okay. Good luck.

| I am 7 weeks pregnant and every now and then I wipe and get this light brown stuff on the tissue. I had some slimy stuff the other day as well. I have lost two babies in the past two years and I am so nervous. I don't know if this is natural or what. I just went and had an ultrasound and they said everything looks ok...but teverything looked okay last time. |

Hi all, I'm also 30 year old and having the same problem. I'm pregnant 13 weeks now, this is our first baby. I went to the ER 2 weeks ago because of heavy bleeding with blood clots of the size of an egg (very scary). The doctor in the ER told me that I have "PLACENTA PREVIA" and suggest me to bed rest for a week, till now I'm still having brown bleeding with clots. I went to see my OBGYN 2 days ago, and tell her my problem, she did an ultrasound and everything seem normal. According to her, brown mean old, it's okay, as long as it's not bright red blood then nothing to worry about. |

I AM 5wks 4 days pregnant and since wensday i was spotting a very light brwom discharge and Thursday morning i noticed a dark brown but small stain in my underwear. i had a appointment because i have mild dysplasia but they couldn't take any samples because im pregnant. She saw the brown discharge and sent me home to say it was normal. later that Thursday i noticed some redish pink bleeding then some very small and round clots, but no cramping or any other pain what so ever. But i was still concerned so went to ER and had a pelvic exam and ultrsound and took blood to check hcg levels. He releasred me as a threatened abortion and on monday i am too give blood again to see if hcg has gone up or down. its friday and i still have no cramping and i just have brown light pink spotting and haven't even soaked a pad at all. does anyone think my baby's okay  |

HI i am 33 years old and pregnant for the 2nd time. At about 6 weeks I had a rather heavy bleed, no pain. I went for a scan the following day and the baby was fine. After that i started to have some brown spotting but I didnt worry about it as I assumed it was old blood from the bleed.
Anyhoo 3 days ago I had another heavy bleed, this time with some FLESHY clots, but again there was no pain. Having clots convinced me i was having a miscarriage. I was examined by a doctor and admitted to hospital. The doctor was also convinced that i had lost the baby and was even talking about having a procedure to clean out my uterus. SHe told me my cervix was opening etc!! But guess what, I had a scan today and ... baby is fine. I am astounded. It just goes to show that magical things can happen and every case is diffferent. Dont write yourself off. |
