Possible side effects of Coreg are: an allergic reaction, chest pain, wheezing and shortness of breath, swelling of the feet, ankles, lower legs, unusually cold or blue hands or feet also insomnia, diarrhea. I don’t know how clever is to skip the dose, it could cause condition to become worse, also alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while taking this medication, so use alcohol cautiously. Consult your doctor about this idea anyway.
