could I have seen a false negative?

Hello,
Me and my husband just started trying to have children. I had sex on the 11th of June and that would be around the time I ovulate because my periods are due on the 23rd or 24th of June. I have been having a sort of sharp pain in one side where my cramps usually come, but that is all. I am not overly tired although I do feel tired and I have had a bit of an attitude but I first contributed that to PMS. I took 3 pregnancy tests within the last couple of days. Is it too soon for them to give me an accurate result? I have received negative results but my mother told me it could be a false negative, or it could just be her hopes are up. Let me know.

I'm in the exact same situation as you are. We had sex on the 7th and the 9th. My period should come between june 23- june 25. I did a home pregnancy test this AM, and it was negative! But I feel pregnant. So far, my symptoms include : breast tenderness and abd. pressure/mild cramping (not like the cramps I'd normally feel when I have PMS), tired easily, mood swings and headaches.

I'm thinking to re-test in two days if my period doesn't come. I wish you lots of luck.
