could Zegerid increase blood sugar in diabetics?

Hi, my very good friend is taking Zegerid for some time already and he is also suffering from diabetes. Several days ago his sister told him that she has heard Zegerid may increase sugar blood level in diabetics. I would like to know if this medication may cause such situation.

Hi, Zegerid is medication which is used to prevent increase of acids in stomach. It is very good medication for this kind of problems and also it may be used to reduce symptoms of stomach ulcer. I know several people who are taking this medication and no one had problem with sugar in the blood.
