crampy and having brownish discharge

i have been having painful cramps off and on for about a week and today i noticed some brownish discharge when i went to the bathroom. i had unprotected sex with my fiance 3 weeks ago but am on birth control and have continued to take it since then. i am two weeks from starting my period. Could i be pregnant?

While even the pill isn't 100% protection, it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill. If you had sex 3 weeks ago, you've probably had a period already. If not it could be implantation bleeding. If your period doesn't come as scheduled or if it very light compared to your usual period, take a HPT. The dollar store tests seem to be the most sensitive.
