My doctor stated at a review of blood workup I requested that my creatinen was 299. My niece and nephews are R.N.'s and informed me that blood levels are not read that way. I should be 29.9 or 2.99.

I ask my doctor what the normal creatinen levels are he replied 100 to 200 and that I was a very sick person. Yet did not tell me what I should or should not be doing except change what I eat, no cheese, no bologna, less red meat, more fish and poultry and plenty of water. I am 5'2", small bone structure, and wgt: 130, age 62. Never been a fast food person nor fried foods only occationally on fried foods, 2-3 times a year.

I go back after 3 months for another blood test.

What are the dangers to look for and what can I do to improve this problem. I am having difficulty when coughing hard and unable to control a trickle of urine.

Thank you for your help and assistance. Also have hypertension, majority of time under control.

God Bless for you for having this web site I just found.

Anna
