cycles of depression

Hi, my father is 54 years old and he is suffering from depression for some time already. I have noticed that his depression is developing in cycles since his mother died several years ago. It happened on Sunday and I have notices that every Sunday he is feeling very bad. He was very close to his mother. I would like to hear other opinions about this.

Hi, you are quite right about depression cycles. This is disorder which is happening in cycles and sometimes it remind on rituals. People are remembering sad moments and it is pulling them into deeper depression. To break out these cycles you have to locate reason of someone's sadness, also interrupt that negative cycle and be very supportive toward people who are suffering from depression.
