Is it possible that my son is suffering from cycling vomiting syndrome? I don’t know much about this condition, but he vomits all of the sudden and complains on stomach ache and headaches. He is 12 years old. Please, his doctor doesn’t seem to be sure what causes his condition. Thank you in advance.

Cycling vomiting syndrome is rare and it occurs in children between 2 and 16, although some adults have received the diagnosis as well. He could be having it, his symptoms sounds like symptoms of CVS. I suggest you to ask second opinion. No one really knows what the cause of it is, but currently is treated with amitriptyline or cyproheptadine.
