cyclophosphamide in lupus treatment?

I didnt even know that there are something called lupus existing in this world. Now I am painfully introduced with it. I am suffering from it for over a month. The thing that bothers me the most is avoiding sunlight. I have always been a sun lizard. I am going to take cyclophosphamide for treatment of lupus. Is it OK? Is there something I should know?

Well I dont know how much you are familiar with lupus as disease itself. I suppose that you know that it is autoimmune disease. That means that your own immune system attacks your body parts by mistake thinking they are intruders. Cyclophosphamide is immunosuppressive. It diminishes the action of your immune system. But then you are more vulnerable to any infection and actual intruders in your body.
