after the first day of cymbalta It was very difficult to achieve orgasm, well except with anal sex lol... and let me tell you. its A LOT harder to get there, but the orgasms are indefinately stronger. when i got up I actually fell to the floor.
Does the hard to have an orgasm part go away? I don't mind the other part though
I always had orgasms that didn't feel all that strong, unless i was drunk or something and there was heavy chemistry.

I have had Fibromyalgia for the better part of the last ten years and this medicine has been a real life saver for me. I have my energy back at last! I have not tried to go off it yet so I have no idea what that is like but I do know that I have not gained any weight from it yet *5+ months* that I have been taking it. No side effects except constipation at first. Other than that it has really been a God send.
my fiance has been perscribed cymbalta 4 depression.though its only been 2 days im very worried cause he's experiencing these involuntary twitches & a lot of anxioty. He hasnt slept in the past 2 nights that hes been taking it and its making me nervous. Does anyone know of any of these side effect and if they go away on their own in time. Everyone keeps saying give it a week but i guess the mommy in me is getting the best of me.
So after reading all of this I'm very worried. I'm 16 and I've been on Zoloft for a year now pretty much. I just moved to a new state and have had family issues and all of this so my new doctor here prescribed me cymbalta and said to quit zoloft and start cymbalta the very next day in the morning. I have also had migraines since age 5(diagnosed by neurologist) and I took topamax and it made me lose weight, but I was foggy and having trouble in school so I switched to zonisamide. When I first moved here I was without both of my medicines for about a week. I can almost say I felt better. I was excited about starting school and got interested in new things here. I started school though and got discouraged and was back on both of my meds. Now that I'm hearing all of this talk I'm thinking maybe I should get off cymbalta and just stick with a headache medicine since my only issue when I was off my meds a couple weeks ago was headaches. I do have bad anxiety though. Is there anything for anxiety that isn't an anti depressant. I just really dont want to spend time playing the guessing game, and every since I've started all this medicine stuff I've gained over 30 pounds. I want to be a normal teenager. Advice? I also was on yaz at one point and that made me gain weight, so i switched to loestrin, but it wasnt really helping with what I needed it for so I gave that up. They gave me something called low oval but I havent started it yet as I've been without a period since beginning of december. Ughhh this is all so frustrating.
I have only been on Cymbalta for two days and I was told Cymbalta was used more for anxiety not depression I am not depressed and only have high anxiety in two days i will say i have not felt so anxious my hands don't shake, yet i feel some leg cramping that i've never had before and i was also told there should be no weight gain I'd like to see it help with drippin like when ya sneeze or cough I don't see how it could stop that but hey that would be great.
Yes these symptoms are normal for cymbalta. Cymbalta takes approximately 4-6 to fully start working although you may feel some effects sooner. I had insomnia for the first couple of week. My docotr told me to take melatonin to help me sleep. Worked a bit. I then slowly changed to taking the cymbalta at night instead of the morning and that helped.
Hopefuly your finance's symptoms have improved.

I had just came off Cymbalta after being on it for 3 years. I have gained nearly 50 pounds from it. Also I have awful dizzy spells to this day from an imbalance caused by cymbalta. If your on it just for you period, get off it a.s.a.p. It's too dangerous and not worth the side effects. Try sam-e 400mg. for 30 days. Can buy it where they sell vitamins.
I started this pill two days ago took my last dose yesterday and had a horrible reaction ! I am 19 years old, female and I am not a very depressed person, I dont have any anger problems I'm very easy going person, I just have bad panic disorder. I basically went crazy on this pill I had no control over my body. I had thoughts of killing my parents and had to hold myself to my bed so I wouldnt hurt them. Luckly I had the will not to do it. This drug seriously needs to be taking off the market ! Im appauld and disgusted that my doctor prescribed me this and after many times asking if theirs any other solution besides antidepressent she basicalyl yellled at me. All I can say is if your thinking about taking this drug its really not worth it ! I never thought that I would be the one to have a bad reaction to this drug I just thought the people were crazy that did, and trust me their not ! This drug needs to be taking off the market and believe me with anough people getting bad reactions it will soon ! If you decide to try this make sure someones their to watch you please and if you get weird thoughts please get medical attention !
I hope I could help anyone whos thinking about trying it ! Thanks for your time

Does any body know how long your bouts of dizzy spells or brain zings last? I'm hoping they go away....Or maybe I'll just get used to it. I've been off Cymbalta for almost a week. Any Ideas? Thanks!!!!!! |
I was on Cymbalta for 3 years, and it was the only thing that helped with my depression. I slowly started weening myself off of it, in fact for the last 6 months i took 30 mg only once a day, then the last 3 months i took 30 mg every other day...Don't go cold turkey, it will make you feel like crap! Dizzy and nauseated!
