Getting treatment is important when an infection has set in for the cyst. The cyst is a lump in the vulva area. There are other really nasty symptoms for a Bartholin Gland Cyst. I can't compare it to any other std. You should really get the cyst treated and should get checked out for stds.

Do you have a bartholin's gland cyst? I had mine finally drained.
I was so happy to get rid of that discomfort. I always had a feeling as if I was contaminated or something. What an awful thing to have down there!

When I first went to a clinic to have it checked, a doc asked if I suffered from any STD lately. Then, later own he told me he would take a sample of the fluid to see what caused an infection. He also told me that usually normal bacteria that lives on the skin causes the infection but it could also be some of the sexually transmitted germs. I didn’t get the results yet but I’ll keep you posted.

I have no other std symptoms. Just these cysts that keep coming back. What std's are related with the cyst? in other words, what possible std's could I have if I keep getting these cysts?

Yes I keep getting these cysts. they are treated with antibiotics and have never been drained because they go away with medecine. I am still wondering if it could be a symptom of a std. I have no other std symptoms, but maybe this is common with a particular std? Anyone know?

When my bartholin cyst grew large, my doctor asked me if I suffered from any STDs lately! I panicked because I thought I contracted something serious but he told me that most of the time STD’s are not the cause of the cysts.
However, he did find I had chlamydia trachomatis and he also suspected of gonorrhea because these two STD’s are suspected of possibly causing the gland to be blocked.

Have you ever suffered from any of these two infections? Have you been checked at all for STD’s?
