cystic fibrosis recessive

Hi, I am 36 years old female and I am suffering from cystic fibrosis all my life. I know this disease is inherited so I would like to know what the pattern of inheritance is. If someone had some information I would be very thankful to share it with me. Thanks.

Hi, I also had cystic fibrosis although my parents are healthy. This disorder is transmitting from parents to children in recessive pattern. It means that parents have to be carriers and both of them have gene for cystic fibrosis. Disease will not be manifested to the parents but child will get disease. This gene is placed on autosomal chromosome.
