dark brown clot-like discharge with lower back and abdominal

I'm 20 years old and for the past three months i've been experiencing a dark brown clot-like discharge right around the time of ovulation. i'm on the pill and i still menstrate at the times i'm supposed to. this discharge comes with alot of pain though... lower abdominal and back pain, along with pelvic pain and fatigue. Before this started, i have never experienced any pain with my period and the changes are scarring me..any ideas??
