dark brown discharge

Hi, I am twenty years old and I noticed about more than a week ago that my discharge was dark brown. it is not smelly or gooey, its kinda clotted and only when i wipe. at first i thought it was just my period being weird but it has lasted more than 10 days and this is totally not normal for me. i have read around and i found this is often associated with pregnancy. however, i have never had sex or done anything with a guy. i also read that this might happen when you masturbate and damage the hymen or something, but i dont do that either. should i be worried? is this normal, and has it just not happened to me? im kinda worried and want to know what it is and what i can do about it. thanks for your time.

ps. i dont use birth control pills. i thought this might impact your response.

Since you are not sexually active and not using birth controll pills, there is no reason you think you could be pregnant and the chances for getting some STD are small so no reasons for getting upset!
You should know that vaginal discharge is produced by every woman and it depends on various reasons. The discharge could differ in color and thickness, and now we are talking about brown discharge you have. This can occur when you are ovulating in your mid-cycle and also you can get it after your period as the old blood that hasn’t left the vagina during the period. You don’t worry about that, when you get this brownish discharge in the middle of the cycle, you know that you are ovulating and this should last short. But just in case, you speak to your med about it lasting about 10 days, this is much I think and it should be checked out.

i'm 17 years old, and have noticed a similar discharge. my period isn't due for another week, and i've been having this dark-brown/black discharge that isn't at all heavy, sort of small and clot-like, and it's lasted more than a week at this point. i don't use birth control, have been sexually active but always protected. not sure what the deal is, but some suggestions i've seen are to wait and see if it happens for more than one cycle.

I'm 17 years old too, and i have the same problem. I was suppose to be on my period this week. (suppose to start yesterday, June 4th) but about 2-3 days ago, ive had a dark brown discharge...not smelling..but a little clumpy. then yesterday, it looked like regular blood so i thought i started, but then today it went back to brown. i havent had sex in about 2 weeks though, im just worried that i am pregnant..is it a good chance? also, I'm on a birth control called Mercet, and I'm not sure if I take the sugar pills or start on a new pack. the brown discharge is not at all heavy anymore, but i dont know if that was just my period or not. please help me...

i'm 91/2 wks pregnant and i've never experience a dark discharge somewhat w/ blood is this normal . i have 2 boys already and i never expereience this can you help answering my question. should i worry?

i remember that a few months before i had gotten my first period i use to get a brown and blackish discharge. same with u it wasnt gooey or anything. after a while(possibly 10 days, dont remeber as i am 15 now) it went away and nothing happened. i think it is nothing to worry about or maybe it is different in my case considering its before i got my period...
