A relationship is when you have a real connection with someone. Perhaps real good freinds, you share interests. you finish each others sentences. you truly care about them. You need confidence in yourself, a personality that is engaging and easy to get on with, and the only way to gain that is to get out there and do it!

Don't treat her as just a girl, don't try to flirt! Just get on well with her. Be enigmatic, compliment her occasionally. But not too much that its obvious you are doing it for the sake of it. trust her. Make her feel good. SMILE! eye contact! have meaningful conversation! turn your shoulders Towards her!

I have had relationships with guys who I meet on a basis of looks and flirting and it means nothing, it lasts weeks if anything. My boyfreind I have now, we have been together for a year now! but its because we were best mates for two years beforehand. We lost our virginities to each other. and its much more rewarding!!!

On the other hand, if you just want a shag, go to a party and find some drunk girl. Sex without love is like bread without butter. You will find it much more rewarding to have a profound connection with a girl as a true freind as well as a lover. unfortunately it takes time to build up a relationship.

now im not good at reading the signs but how can you tell if the girl your good friends with wants to take the relationship further. i mean i dont want to just go and ask her out. i mean what if she dosnt like me that way and it ruins our friendship i think i can handle it if she dosnt want to go out with me but i dont think i could handle the loss of a very good friend. i know what its like to loose a friend because ive lost a friend in the worst way possible. my dad who i considered a friend died and i felt terrible i cant handle the loss of someone else no matter how a loose them. Sad

when you and she have that profound connection you will know. I know it sounds cheesy but you will, you can't miss it!!!

good signs are if she holds eye contact with you, hugs you a lot, compliments you, if you two have gone out into the city or out for a meal a lot together just casually. when she initiates conversation and wants to arrange plans with you! if she touches you in conversation, if she expresses an interest in your wellbeing.

If you have a doubt that she will say no then get closer, until that fear is gone.

I know the loss of your father must have hurt very much, but you need to rebuild your self confidence, you need to radiate happiness and self-worth.
