I am 49 years old. 9 months ago I had a sharp pain at the base of my thumb, near my wrist. My doctor said I have De Quervains disesase. I
took ibuprofen for 4 months. I have a dull pain now at the base of my thumb. I am able to do jobs with my right hand now but the dull pain
comes and goes. Sometimes I get a sharp pain when I turn a door handle
or pull at a seatbelt. I also where a wrist brace now. Can you tell me
whether there is any treatment for this. Will the pain ever go away. Is this a kind of arthritis? I don't want surgery.
