Dear all:

Sad Im so devastated. Hopeless. Don't know how to deal with a 40year old husband who im suspected of having a anti-social personality. We've been married for 4 years, physically separated and with a 5year old son to raise alone. Im trying my best to understnad and to talk to him but he seems to be full of promises and false hopes. I love my husbad\nd and i lvoe my family but i cannot bear all the emotional stress and lack of support from him from financial down to emotional support. Im dying inside and i don't know how to handle his bad habits. I already thought of leaving him for good by not tallking and seeing him anymore when he comes back to my country. he's so pathetic, inconsiderate and took advantage of my weakness as a woman. What hurts me most is that he forgets special occasions in our lives like christmas, bdays, annversaries. it seems like he;s not thnking of it./ thnaks

If there's anyone out there who could help or enlighten me, or give the proper guidance i would appreciate it whole heartedly.

It's always extremely hard when a member of the family is so distant, especially a spouse. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

You say that you've tried to talk to him, but he doesn't respond. My guess is you've tried everything, but he doesn't want to have put his end in. Well, perhaps that's all that you can do. No one can force another person to comply with something; it's always a choice on their part. If you truly feel that leaving him is the best thing for you and your family, perhaps you should do so. After all, when you've done all that you can do, it's him that has left you first--emotionally.

Please remember that you're a priceless individual. He has made a choice that reflects only on him. If you feel that it's necessary to seek professional help, find a therapist that feels like a good friend with whom you can have a friendly conversation. I find those work the best in general.
