I have been both hypo and hyper over the last 18 months and was due to have iodine treatment recently after stopping my medication 3 weeks ago. I have been on stop and block treatment taking carbimazole and thyroxin for the last 6 months. My tft's and t3 and t4 have just given a completely normal result and because of this no treatment eas administered!!!! I know my symptoms and my body and definitely feel myself becoming overactive again, is it possible for my blood to still carry levels of thyroxin and still give a normal reading? I ask because I only ceased medication 3 weeks ago. My GP has prescribed propanalol to ease the heart racing and sweats!!! I am now apparently suffering with Thyroidtoxicosis!!!! is this possible with a normal result in my blood range? Please shed some light on my suffering!!! the muscle aches and mood swings are unbearable. I am irritable and restless and bowels are working overtime.
