I have one sexual problem and I would like to hear if anyone could help me. You have to know that I take daily a significant dose of the antidepressant Effexor. For a variety of reasons not germane to this subject, but you have to understand my problem is because of this drug. Moreover, I am unable to substitute other antidepressants. Because of the medication I cannot ejaculate nor have an orgasm, or finally when I have it, it is delayed ejaculation, so I want to hear if there is any explanation and if anyone has similar delayed ejaculation problems.

I also have problem with delayed ejaculation, because it happens only sometimes, even when sex lasts two hours or so. I have therapy with the same drug, and I think this caused our problem with delayed ejaculation. I have noticed this because if I skip the medication for a couple of days, after an hour or two of sex I finally can ejaculate and have an orgasm. I have to tell you that I have tried half dozen medications known possibly to alleviate the problem, but with no success. I also take large doses of Wellbutrin and Ritalin on a daily basis for problems unrelated to sex. Despite a reputation for helping to enhance orgasm, they have no such benefit. I was wondering if Viagra could help, and at what dosage? I was also asking if there are any other new medications readily available to alleviate the problem. Then I found my problem is not one that would be helped by Viagra. This drug will enhance penile blood flow and in those individuals with impotence may enable erections but not enhance or affect orgasms and our delayed ejaculation. I am unaware of any medications that will enable orgasms in our situation other than discontinuing or changing antidepressant.
