demabrasion

I was thinking to do face dermabrasion, although I have no scars. Well, I have some from the acne, but my dermatologist won’t do it. She said that I can do other treatment, but I think that dermabrasion will be most effective. Has anyone here been in such situation?

My Aesthetician won't do dermabrasion also. She said she doesn’t understand why people without scarring think they need it. She said that there are perfectly nice glycolic acid treatments out and she'll go into mind-boggling, hypnotic detail about it while she's mashing a papaya before she mixes it with some other things, and applies it liberally to my skin…blah blah…
