dementia prognosis

Hello. I have 72 years old grandmother that has dementia. She doesn't remember who we are, or mixes up who we are. She is strong as a horse, she can move, yet she almost don't know how to do the basic stuff, like going to the bathroom, or anywhere else. Is there a way that we can make granny's condition improve? What is the prognosis?

Prognosis. You know how it goes. Meds sometimes help. I even know cases where it helped really much. But what your grandmother needs right now is support. Even dough she doesn't recognize you, you must keep talking to her, explaining, make her brain work as much as it can. I know that it is hard. My father has Alzheimer's too. You have to be strong for your grandmother.
