My son is one year old and he already has several baby teeth. We started taking care of those teeth as soon as the first one popped out, but we are still concerned that we are not doing enough. Can you tell us something more about the dental hygiene for toddlers? Thanks in advance.

It is a good thing that you are taking good care of your baby’s first teeth; this means that even though she will have a second set of teeth, proper oral hygiene has to be maintained from the start. Baby’s teeth should be cleaned twice a day, juices and sugary snacks are something that must be avoided (at least for the first 6 months), and tooth paste should be applied when the child is at least 2 years old… Regular dental examination is also required.
