Hello everybody. My partner is taking Depakote and now should stop. So, he cut down to one and then stopped soon after. But, now he is tired, cold, getting a bit quiet and moody, craving sugar... Not long after all that, he had to start using it again, though just one. Is this common? How should he get off of it?? Any thoughts or advice would be welcomed.

Hi. I haven't suffered any of the symptoms listed when coming off Depakote but I know that the most important thing is to withdraw very slowly. That period should be at least a one month period – not 48 or 72 hours!!! I think that was the problem for your partner. Hope he’ll be fine soon.
