Hello. I have been taking codeine for a while for my elbow pains but it did not help much. I was wondering which would be better for me to take medicine that contains dextropropoxyphene or some other that contains codeine. What do you think which is more powerful for chronic pain?

In theory, they should be about the same as dextropropoxyphene is synthetic version of codeine. Dextropropoxyphene is very, very mild pain reliever and does not help much for most people. Codeine is stronger painkiller and I believe that it will provide you much better pain relief. Just be careful, Codeine is more addictive and increases withdrawal symptoms.
