I recently have heard about gastrojejunal bypass surgery. My mom is overweight and she is diabetic. I think this could be right thing for her. I just need more info about it. Anyone here had it or knows something? Thanks in advance
There is weight loss operation, called gastrojejunal bypass, but exactly why the surgery cures diabetes is a mystery. In obese patients with diabetes, gastrojejunal bypass is associated with improved sugar control. I don’t have such experience and I don’t know anyone who has but from what I read it is more effective than certain drugs or food restriction at controlling sugar levels. I guess best thin g is to consult some professional.
