Hi all. I’m 27 and was diagnosed with diarreah 4 days ago. I’m so depressed… This is the last thing I needed… My doc prescribed me few meds, but I would like to know if anybody here had anything similar and if you know for any good treatments for it. Thanks a lot.

Well, there is not much to tell. Do nothing except ensure adequate fluid intake. Believe it or not, this is the most appropriate treatment in most cases of diarrhea. Eating should be reduced – I mean, you should eat, but regularly and smaller portions. Another important thing is not to eat or drink too quickly.
Of course, there are several anti-diarrhea drugs but if you decide to use any of those, use them cautiously as they are said to prolong the illness and may increase the risk of a carrier state. Loperamide is the most commonly used one.
That is all I can tell you about it. Hope it helps.

hi,
i'm 21 years old and after six months living abroad i started having the same problem. Actually my problem(diarrea)doesn'yt appear all the time but it depends from the stress i hav each time and my mood. so my sdvice is try to relax and have some gym also. it seems to help a lot. Also what i do, i avoid some food that may affect the diarrea, like oranges, coffee, etc. It is very important to understand whether your proble comes from a bad psychology whether it is a physical damage. unfortunately your doctor can't diagnisize such a thing..so try to find out for your own shake. maybe it would be quiute good to consult an other doctor also.well i hope i helped u...courage!! Smile
