| I was wondering about something and I hope that you might help me. I am under diabetes therapy for almost a year now. I am 34 years old, and to be honest, I have never had any problems with extra weight, but I cannot say that I have led a healthy life. Anyway, I am under diet during tx, which means forever, but still I need to know the importance of this diets. |

| Beside the insulin, as a main tool in a fight against diabetes, there are other measures that must be taken. Insulin is a hormone that helps sugar enter the blood cells. Since your pancreas is not doing his job properly, you have less insulin, therefore, more sugar in blood, which is not good, and that is where therapy kicks in. Diet is here to ensure that overall amount of sugar you intake is at minimum level and that helps a therapy a lot. Also, light exercises are more then welcomed. |
